What was your first marathon and what do you remember about it?
London 2001, I remember getting caught short in Docklands, running into a pub, going to the loo and running off again.
Who or what inspires you?
My dad, Paula Radcliffe, people I chat to all the time at these races and their amazing stories.
What is your go to running snack before, during, after a run?
Before is COOP pancakes for breakfast, during is gels and other little bits of sweets but I tend to get a stitch if I eat too much solid food, after is a Strawberry milkshake and a packet of Frazzles.
What is your passion outside running?
Hubby says my passion is work, and my old dog.
What piece of running kit would you most recommend?
I have just started using the FreeTrain to hold my mobile and I’m finding it really good.
Running highlight (so far!) Strangest race experience?
Medoc marathon. I have done it 3 times. 22 drink stations serving red wine, steak, oysters, ice cream. If you finish in under 5 hours you are not really trying. I love it.
Ever lost a toe nail and other running injuries?
Yes, and the usual, shin splints for my first marathon, strains, the dog tripped me up running once and I bounced my face off the tarmac luckily without breaking anything.
Where do you think you will run your 100th / Did you run it? And why?
It was meant to be day 2 of the Phoenix 10 in 10. Now I don’t know.
